The day finally came to welcome Dixie Jean into the world. After spending half a day at the hospital, Dixie was born sometime around 11:50AM - a healthy 7 lbs, 15 oz and 19.5 inches. Mom and baby are doing well and Aunt Tammie can't wait to see her again! Here are some shots from the day. Below is Aunt Hebby and Gigi Sharon. Hi Aunt Hebby!
After hanging around the hospital all morning and not a great deal of progress, we thought it was safe to walk down the street and grab a bite to eat. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as we ordered and took a sip of our drinks we got a call that Dixie was coming. You can imagine us running through the street (Heather sans shoes to make better time) and here we are catching our breath in the elevator. We made it in time:)
