Lee and I went for a short trail hike at Helen Hunt falls yesterday. The weather was perfect and it was beautiful. Here are a few of the shots I snapped along the way.

Lee and I flew to St. Louis this past weekend and met up with Misti and Chris for a Cardinals game. St. Louis has a beautiful downtown. Here are a couple of shots of the texture around the Landing area.

Here's the view from our hotel room. Fortunately it was within walking distance to Busch Stadium.

This dude got "one-lit". Poor guy, I flashed a nikon sb-800 in his eyes. There was no shortage of any food or beverage.



Fun times. St. Louis is a great city.

My what a big ring you have.

I snapped a couple of test shots with my new (very, very old) 55mm 2.8 macro nikon lens. It's manual everything, but once you nail the exposure - it sure does take nice detail shots.

balancing flash and ambient part 1

Today's Strobist lesson was on balancing flash and ambient. And using shutter speed to creatively control the background. I shot a variety of stuff with Lee and changed up my background. Fortunately this is a topic I'm familiar with and hopefully this will get me back into keeping up with the strobist blog. I've been reading, but haven't been shooting as much. I've been traveling a lot lately and need to get back into the swing of things. So here's part 1 ...

Halo2

Lee and his buddy Justin were having a great time today playing Halo live. I couldn't tell you who was winning. They were trying to run over each other for about a half hour. These were shot with my new wide angle zoom.
