Lear Bounces Back

Lear has had a rough couple of weeks, but he's finally getting back to normal. He went to the vet to get his teeth cleaned for the first time (bad mommy) and we found out he had an abscessed tooth and had to get it pulled. On top of that, he had blood taken and was given his shots. When he came home, he barely slept for 2 days. He also was so stressed out from the visit (he hates going to the vet. imagine pumping the gas into his carrying cage because he was too "aggressive" to get the mask on his face), that he chewed out a huge spot of hair on his belly and licked the skin raw. Lee made him a tshirt, but it was still difficult trying to keep him from licking off the ointment and agitating it further. We tried the elizabethan collar, but that was even more traumatic. It's finally started to heal. And through all of that, he never once lost his appetite (big shock). I can't wait to start trying to brush his teeth this week.
